Fécamp, nestled in the heart of the Alabaster Coast, is a port city steeped in seafaring tradition. Once the capital of the cod fishing industry and home to generations of intrepid sailors, it remains a symbol of France’s deep connection to the sea. Surrounded by striking chalk cliffs and marked by the rhythm of tides, Fécamp offers an authentic setting where maritime heritage and natural beauty come together.

Though smaller than major commercial ports, Fécamp stands out for its charm, history, and ideal position along the Channel. It is a harbor of stories and resilience — a place where sailors prepare to cross oceans and reconnect with the essential. As it welcomes vessels like Anemos, Fécamp proudly embodies a quieter, more sustainable vision of maritime trade, one rooted in purpose and respect for the environment.

Homeward bound

After her transatlantic crossing and successful arrival in New York, Anemos is back at sea.

This morning, she set sail once again — this time heading east, bound for Fécamp, her new home port on the coast of Normandy.

With the wind at her back and the memory of a completed journey, Anemos begins her return across the Atlantic, carrying with her the spirit of low-carbon maritime trade.

Familiar faces, full sails

Back under sail, Anemos gracefully cuts through the Atlantic swells. Today’s breeze brings her to 12 knots this afternoon, a beautiful rhythm under full canvas.

On board, the spirit is high — especially for our two returning passengers, who had already shared the westward journey to New York and are now experiencing the crossing in reverse.

📸 Captain Gwenola caught a quiet moment on deck with one of them — smiles, wind, and a horizon full of memories yet to be made.

Bracing winds, breathtaking views

This morning brought icy gusts across the aft deck, but no one could resist stepping outside to catch the spectacle of the sea in motion.

As one of our passengers put it:
“It felt so good to step out today! Freezing wind at the stern, but the view was absolutely stunning!”

Waves rolling, sails holding — Anemos continues her elegant return across the Atlantic.

Night watch, port side

On port tack, under the stars.
The sails stretch silently into the dark, catching every gust as Anemos slices through the night.

A quiet moment under canvas — just the sea, the wind, and the rhythm of the Atlantic.

First boat in weeks

Land still distant, but signs of life reappear.
This morning, in the Celtic Sea, we crossed paths with our first fishing boat in three weeks — a silhouette on the horizon, somewhere off the Gulf of Maine.

After days of only sea and sky, this brief encounter feels almost surreal.
The end of the crossing is near, but the magic of the voyage remains intact.

Anemos at sunset

Tonight, the sky set itself on fire.
Golden rays, soft waves, and Anemos sailing steady — everything aligned for a perfect sunset at sea.

Moments like this remind us why we sail: for the silence, the light, and the feeling of being exactly where we’re meant to be.

Land in sight: arrival in Fécamp

After weeks at sea, the cliffs rise on the horizon — Etretat, somewhere in the mist. Anemos approaches her home coast.

At around 8PM, the pilot boards. The familiar sound of seabirds, the scent of land, and finally, the quay of Fécamp under our keel.

One journey ends — but the wind is always calling.
