Heading for New York: Anemos sets sail again!

After her technical stopover in Concarneau, Anemos finally cast off to continue her transatlantic crossing. This morning, at 7 a.m. sharp, the cargo yacht set sail again under clear skies, accompanied by a favorable wind. Next stop? New York!

First crossing with passengers on board!

Anemos doesn’t just carry freight: five passengers embarked today for a unique crossing to New York! Curious about making a crossing on a cargo sailboat, they will experience an extraordinary adventure to the rhythm of the wind and the ocean.

Welcome !

15.03.2025

First day at sea

Anemos has left the French coast behind and is now truly underway! Still not far from Brittany, the crew and our five passengers are enjoying smooth sailing and… a first magical encounter: a dolphin joined the journey this morning, dancing alongside the bow.

With 8.4 knots of speed and favorable weather, the crossing to New York begins under the best of signs.

📍Position: 48°27.938’N / 003°55.986’W

Second day at sea

Anemos continues her westward journey into the Atlantic, carried by a steady 14-knot northeast wind.

While the weather remains cool (3°C near Dingle, 1°C in Vigo!), the morale onboard is warm. With each nautical mile, the distance from Europe grows – and so does the excitement of the adventure ahead.

📍General position: West of Ireland, heading into open sea.

Let the winds guide her – and may the Gulf Stream be kind !

Into the Atlantic

Under full sail and with a 20-knot tailwind, Anemos surfs the Atlantic swell, gaining distance from the European coast with each hour.

📍Position: South-west of Ireland
Wind: 20 knots, steady
Temperature: still brisk – around 3°C
Weather system to the south forming – but for now, smooth sailing.

The ocean breathes, the sails sing, and the crew settles into the rhythm of the voyage. The high seas have welcomed Anemos.

Steady sailing, with good company

The crossing continues peacefully.
The sails are full, the wind is steady, and the silence of the engine gives way to the rhythm of the sea against the hull.

This morning, dolphins came to play at the bow, as if to greet Anemos and her crew.
At the stern, passengers and sailors take in the moment — wind in their faces, eyes fixed on the horizon.

🌊 No rush. The Atlantic is unfolding mile after mile.

21.03.2025

The ocean in motion

Today, the Atlantic shows her wild, sculpted face.
Rolling waves, deep swells — a living, breathing sea.

The swell rises and falls like a slow heartbeat, powerful and calm.
Each crest glistens under a grey light, each trough whispers stories from the deep.

From the deck of Anemos, we sail not just on the ocean, but with it.

No filter needed — the sea is art in motion.

Spring, at sea

The first sunrise of spring.
A golden line on the horizon, soft as a whisper.
We greet the new season from the middle of the ocean — no land in sight, only light.

🌅 The wind is steady. The sails are full.
And for a moment, everything feels exactly as it should.

A new chapter begins — not just on the calendar, but in our hearts too.
Sailing through seasons, carried by the wind

24.03.2025

Smooth sailing

Today, Anemos sails peacefully under full canvas.
The sea is calm, the wind is kind, and the horizon stretches endlessly ahead.

Every mile brings us closer — not just to land, but to a new way of shipping.

Nearing Newfoundland, with wonder in our wake

As Anemos approaches the Grand Banks of Newfoundland, a sense of true adventure sets in.
From the deck, one of our passengers reflects:

“It’s here, nearing these misty waters once crossed by Breton and Norman fishermen, that I truly feel the spirit of this sailing journey.
We enjoy such remarkable comfort for a freight vessel offering a passenger experience.”

Each day at sea brings its own surprise:
Two nights ago, dolphins danced in our bow waves as we sliced through the Atlantic at 11–12 knots under full sail.
Last night, we were gifted with a golden sunset — and the rare sight of a green flash on the horizon.

31.03.2025

Riding the Gulf Stream

Anemos is surfing the Gulf Stream with 4 knots of current on the bow — and still holding a solid 10 knots through the water.

Under two headsails, with around 900m² of canvas up, she cuts through the ocean like a blade of wind-powered steel.

The rhythm of the sails, the speed of the current, the Atlantic breathing beneath our hull — it’s pure sailing magic.

02.04.2025

The final miles

The horizon is shifting — we are slowly leaving the open ocean behind. The swell softens, the light changes, and with each gust of wind in the sails, we feel the end of the crossing drawing near.

Anemos glides calmly, her white canvas stretched under a soft spring sun. The sea, still vast, offers a few last moments of deep blue poetry before land appears.

This Atlantic chapter is almost complete… but the wind keeps singing.

Landfall: New York City

At dawn, Anemos approached the New York skyline, her journey across the Atlantic complete. The soft light of morning revealed the silhouette of the Statue of Liberty — a timeless symbol welcoming the crew and passengers after over two weeks at sea.

This moment marks the end of an unforgettable crossing. From France to America, carried only by the wind, through calm seas, starlit nights, dolphins, sunrises, and powerful swells.

Anemos has arrived, and with her, the proof that another way of shipping is not only possible — it’s already happening.
