Off the coast of Roscoff

Having left the port of Le Havre just two days ago, the Anemos is already making good speed, taking advantage of the steady winds off Roscoff. This view symbolizes the first hours of an ambitious transatlantic crossing from France to New York. The cargo sailboat, loaded with its precious cargo, is gradually moving away from the French coast, leaving behind the first miles of this voyage resolutely committed to decarbonization.

Setting course for the Atlantic

Under heavy skies and choppy seas, the Anemos is under full sail, defying the imposing waves of the Atlantic. The outstretched sails capture all the power of the wind, propelling the ship in a harmonious cadence despite the swell. This demanding navigation, true to TOWT’s commitment, highlights the Anemos’s ability to face the elements while progressing without a drop of fuel. An authentic crossing, in total symbiosis with nature.

A suspended moment at sea

As the Anemos continues its journey, the sun slowly fades over the horizon, tinting the sky with golden and orange hues. On deck, a few crew members enjoy this luminous interlude, savoring the serenity of a sunset on the open sea. These shared moments are a reminder of the simple, timeless beauty of sailing, where each day offers its share of unique, ephemeral landscapes.

As the sun disappears behind the horizon, the Anemos continues on its way, carried by the wind and the determination of its crew.

This powerful oceanic river, with its fast-moving, ever-changing currents, puts the cargo sailboat to the test, as she sails at full speed into the heart of this natural phenomenon. Between sustained winds and rough seas, each mile covered bears witness to the strength and ingenuity of sailing.
