Under sail, at last

Two days out from Le Havre, Artemis stretches her wings to the Atlantic winds. The foresails are fully deployed, catching a steady breeze from the northwest.

The sea is calm but deep, with that specific shade of steel blue you only see far from land. On deck, a sense of rhythm returns — watches rotate, the sails breathe, and the ship leans gently into her course.

The coast of Europe is already a memory. Next: the wide ocean.

A wake across the ocean

From the stern of Artemis, the French flag flutters proudly above the ship’s wake. A ribbon of white foam traces our path westward, where sky and sea merge in endless horizon.

Behind us: Europe.
Ahead: the open Atlantic and the promise of New York.

Each mile sailed under canvas is a quiet defiance — proof that transoceanic shipping can be wind-powered, once more.

Ocean escorts

A pod of dolphins joined Artemis today, racing the bow and weaving through the spray as if to celebrate our voyage. Their sleek silhouettes flashed beneath the surface, keeping pace while the ship held a steady 10 knots under sail.

A quiet, powerful moment that reminds us how wind-powered crossings bring us closer to the natural rhythm of the ocean.

Full sails, fair seas

Under a brilliant sky and with both wings fully deployed, Artemis slices steadily through the Atlantic. Every line is taut, every panel catching the wind like it was made for this very moment.

This is sailing cargo at its finest: silent, sleek, and in perfect harmony with the elements.

Sunset watch

As the sun dips below the horizon, the silence on deck speaks volumes.

A handful of silhouettes, backs turned to the wind, soaking in the glow.

Just the sea, the sails, and the quiet rhythm of the crossing.

Visitors off the bow

Another day, another dolphin dance.
Gliding just ahead of us, they weave through the swell like old companions.
Moments like these remind us that we’re never truly alone out here.

Land ahead, soon

The horizon stretches wide, but something in the light feels different now.

After days rocked by the swell and carried by the wind, we can almost feel the coast drawing near.

Every mile brings us closer — not just to our destination, but to the end of a journey that’s left its mark on all of us.

Landfall: New York City

Skyscrapers on the skyline, sails furled, and hearts full.
After thousands of nautical miles, we make our entrance into New York Harbor.
The sea gives way to steel and glass — but the wind that carried us still lingers in the rigging.

Arrival is always a beginning.
